Tracey Kinneburgh graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA Hons in Drawing and Painting in 2006.  Tracey works and lives in Scotland and is interested in both representational and abstract artwork.  Her current body of work is inspired by the Scottish landscape and prominently features trees and natural scenes.

The paintings are acrylic on canvas and comprise of ambiguous colours with finely detailed silhouettes of trees.  Tracey does this to help portray a sense of atmosphere and to show that trees can be both elegant as well as dramatic.  She is inspired by going to the countryside and studying how the trees move, the colours of the foliage and skies and her own emotional response to what she sees.

Tracey loves the peace and tranquillity that the countryside gives her and wants her paintings to evoke a personal experience in the viewer and inspire them to go and enjoy the landscape for themselves. In 2011, Tracey was commissioned to provide concept drawing for the film Island, by Tailormade Productions. She was short-listed for the Nationwide Mercury Awards Art competition. Tracey’s work has been widely exhibited throughout the UK, particularly in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
